METHOD FOR RECOVERING DROSS OF HOT DIP METAL COATING BATH AND DEVICE THEREFOR

PURPOSE: To efficiently and continuously remove the dross produced in a hot dip metal coating bath. ;CONSTITUTION: Molten zinc 9a is lifted by a gas lift pump 21 and is passed through a housing container 22 and an inlet side dross recovering container 23a of a network structure arranged in this housing container 22 and is then admitted into an outlet side recovering container 23b of a network structure from above. The molten zinc 9a is subjected to the removal of the dross by plural filters 24a, 24b, 24c arranged in a vertical direction in the outlet side dross recovering container 23b and is returned through a reflux means 25 to the hot dip metal coating bath 9a. An air bubble producing means 36 which produces air bubbles is disposed on the lower side of the outlet side dross recovering container 23b. The dross captured on the filters is made to soar up by ascending of these air bubbles and is suspended in the molten zinc existing in the spaces above the filters. The clogging of the filters is, therefore, prevented and the long-term continuous use of the device is made possible.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
