CONVEYANCE METHOD AND CONVEYANCE DEVICE FOR ROUND STEEL PRODUCT IN ROLLING MILL

PURPOSE: To prevent occurrence of insufficient or excess supply of round steel products in post process and eliminate time loss and stop of a production line so as to prevent reduction of productivity even if a difference in treatment capacity occurs between prior and post processes and a trouble occurs in any of the prior and post processes with respect to a conveyance means of round steel products in a rolling mill. ;CONSTITUTION: Many transverse shafts 2 which can turn are provided at the same height in parallel in the direction of conveyance in parallel with the longitudinal direction of round steel products 1 which are sent from prior process. Further, many transfer arms 3 which have a recessed section 4 with which a plurality of round steel products 1 can be engaged are fixed at equal interval on each transverse shaft 2, and a drive means 5 which turns the transverse shaft 2 is provided independently per transverse shaft 2 so that the transfer arms 3 can turn from sideway to the direction of conveyance. Also, a control means which can convey the round steel products 1 immediately toward empty arms 3 for conveyance due to the single operation of each drive device 5 is provided. Consequently, it is possible to convey the round steel products 1 into the empty transfer arms 3 of the rear transverse shaft 2 sequentially and self-sufficiently.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
