PURPOSE: To guarantee the interchangeability between the constituents of a computer processing system and to eliminate the noninterchangeability between resident software and transfer software of a computer system. ;CONSTITUTION: After system components are defined, the interchangeable relations between two or more system components is discriminated. Then the cross relationship between at least two interchangeable relations is decided from the discriminated interchangeable relations. The interchangeable relations and cross relationship can be assigned to exclusive control fields and each of the discriminated relations and cross relationship is independently discriminated. When the relations and cross relationship are discriminated, the verification of the completeness of at least one of the interchangeable relations and cross relationship and the maintenance of the completeness of the interchangeable relations and cross relationship defined based on verified results guarantee the interchangeability between the system components in a system constitution.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
