The invention relates to a filtering septum for liquid foodstuffs, in particular for the microbiological stabilization of drinks such as wine, beer and others, characterized in that it comprises a porous layer of sintered stainless steel with substantially uniform permeability at all points whose mean value, expressed as the bubble point, is not less than 160 mb (in isopropanol).
