METHOD OF TREATMENT OF CHRONIC SPHENOIDITIS AND DEVICE FOR TREATMENT

FIELD: otolaryngology. SUBSTANCE: when treating chronic sphenoiditis by ultrasonic influence onto polypous tissue in wedge-shaped sinuses, polypous tissue is cut off preliminary at the area of natural hole and front wall of wedge-shaped sinus at vertical direction from up to down. Bone tissue of front wall of wedge-shaped sinus is removed at the area of medial and lateral and lower end of wedge-shaped sinus, then in lower wall of wedge-shaped sinus in the direction from back wall to exit hole. Then polypous tissue is cut out from the area of medial and lateral walls of wedge-shaped sinus in the direction from back wall of wedge-shaped sinus to exit hole. Device for realization has low frequency ultrasonic oscillation source connected with case which has conic and cylindrical parts. Cylindrical part is curved at 20 deg to axis of conic part.
