METHOD OF DIAGNOSTIC AND MONITORING OF CHRONIC TRYANOSOMIASE TREATMENT MONITORING, METHOD OF DIAGNOSTIC AND MONITORING OF CHILLIC DISEASE TREATMENT AND DIAGNOSTIC KIT OF THE DIAGNOSIS FOR CHRONIC TRIPANOSOMIASIS refers to the diagnosis and monitoring of trypanosomiasis treatment in order to identify the stage of the disease and enable the choice of treatment regimen to cure protozoan infected individuals belonging to the Trypanosomatidae family suffering from chronic disease. In the case of Chagas disease, the protozoan is T. cruzi. The method for diagnosing and monitoring treatment of chronic trypanosomiasis, including chronic Chagas disease, comprises the steps of: (i) determining the specific markers of Trypanosomatidae family protozoan kDNA integration into the host genome; (ii) extracting genomic DNA from the infected individual's sample; (iii) cleaving genomic DNA with specific restriction enzymes and separating the resulting fragment mixture; (iv) subject the fragments to purification and Southern blot analysis (v) hybridize the fragments with a radiolabeled complementary probe (kCR) and (vi) perform the comparative profile analysis of genomic DNA fragments hybridized to the specific integration markers of the parasite kDNA of the Trypanosomatidae family. The invention further includes a diagnosis and monitoring kit for the treatment of chronic trypanosomiasis, including chronic Chagas disease, comprising: (i) specific gene markers of T. cruzi kDNA integration into the host genome; (ii) reagents and additives for DNA extraction and analysis of fragments resulting from cleavage with specific restriction enzymes; and (iii) instructions for the extraction and analysis of the fragments.
