The invention relates to a display device control for producing a data stream in the manner of pixels. Picture refresh stores (BWS) of conventional display device controls are constructed using specific memory chips (SBi), so-called video-RAMs. These memory chips (SBi) provide a parallel stream of data which has to be serialised before the imaging on a display device (SG). The display device control according to the invention produces a data stream in the manner of pixels, with little outlay in terms of security, this display device control being also suitable for high-resolution display device (SG).
