An arrangement for the adjacent control of powered support assemblies (1; 2) in self-advancing support underground has hydraulic hoses (4) and/or hydraulic control hoses which extend from control units arranged in the one set of powered support assemblies (1) to supply units arranged in the other powered support assemblies (2). Connecting lines are laid from the supply units in each case in the powered support assembly (2) to the consumers (A; B). Hydraulic fluid is admitted to the hydraulic hoses (4) and/or the hydraulic control hoses only in the direction from the control units to the supply units, and the associated connections (7) to the return (R) are in each case provided in the same powered support assembly (2), in the event of direct control with valves (10, 12) which are controlled (13, 14) by the pressurising of the supply units via the hydraulic hoses (4); in the event of indirect control the control lines are connected to the return via restrictors.
