Medical compress for cooling body injuries

The compress (10) is used for treating sports injuries. It contains at least one cooling element to be secured to the treated body part. This consists of at least one porous, cold water retaining, absorbent and flexible foamed body, pref. plate-shaped with the plates adaptable to the treated body part. Typically there are two cooling elements for two sides of the treated body part, each contg. a foam plate securable to the treated body part by a conventional bandage. For joint treatment the foam plates may have appropriate recesses.
