The device (1) has a cooling spray (3) for spraying gas on a cooling pad (2), where the gas escapes from the cooling device via a gas filter (4). The cooling device is equipped with a temperature adjustment unit, a temperature gauge and a display. The cooling spray comprises an automatically releasing spray head. The cooling pad is formed in different designs with respect to a body portion to be tempered. The cooling spray is detachably fastened to the cooling device or connected with the cooling pad via a tube.
