In a spinning machine with a plurality of interconnected spinning cylinders (1, 1'), the cylinder ends (14, 15) are so designed that two shaft portions (151, 153) of one cylinder end (15), which, together with bores (141, 143) of the other cylinder end (14), ensure the centring of the two cylinder ends (14, 15) relative to one another, are interrupted by a part having a shaft portion (152) and a bore (142) of one or the other cylinder end (15 or 14) respectively, this part guaranteeing a positive connection of the first spinning cylinder (1) and of the second spinning cylinder (1'). This construction for connecting a left-hand and a right-hand cylinder end (14, 15) of two spinning cylinders (1, 1') ensures an exact alignment of the two spinning cylinders (1, 1') for a short constructional length of the cylinder ends (14, 15) and makes a resetting of the connected spinning cylinders (1, 1') unnecessary.
