The present invention relates to a base composition for the fabrication of a sheet product obtained by wet process, of the type comprising a mixture of polymer powder of given grain size and fibers, characterized in that it comprises a mixture, preferably an intimate mixture of a) at least one elastomer powder of a grain size smaller than 500 micrometers approximately, called fine powder of elastomer and b) fibers of a length smaller than about 10 mm, selected in the group including natural fibers, mineral fibers and mixtures thereof.
