The invention relates to papillomavirus probes derived from new DNA-HPVs deposited at the CNCM on 6 May 1988 under the following filing numbers: - PGEM 4 HPV49 : I-754 - PSP 65 HPV50 : I-755 - PSP 64 HPV54 : I-756 - PGEM 4 HPV55A : I-757 - PGEM 4 HPV55B : I-758. These probes can be employed for in vitro detection: - in the case of HPV49 : of cutaneous or mucous verrucas (in particular ordinary and plantar verrucas) and of the differential diagnosis of verruci form epidermodysplasia - in the case of HPV50 : of verruciform epidermodysplasias, of inter-epithelial neoplasias and of cutaneous cancers - in the case of HPV55 : of genital neoplasias and of cancers of the neck of the uterus, - in the case of HPV55 : of genital neoplasias and of cancers of the neck of the uterus, of condylomas and of papillomas.
