WATER-PROOF PLUG INSERTING AND PULLING OUT METHOD FOR WATER-PROOF CONNECTOR AND WATER-PROOF PLUG AND JIG EMPLOYED THEREFOR

PURPOSE: To provide a water-proof plug inserting and pulling out method for a water- proof connector by which a water-proof plug can surely be inserted in a prescribed position and provide a water-proof plug and jig to be employed for the method. ;CONSTITUTION: A water-proof plug 11 is held by a tip part 23 of a terminal insertion jig 21 and together with the water-proof plug 11, the tip part 23 of the terminal insertion jig 21 is inserted in a terminal insertion hole 3 and a step part 27 formed in the side face of the tip part 23 is brought into contact with a housing 29a, so that the water-proof plug 11 is positioned in a prescribed depth of the terminal insertion hole 3 and the water-proof plug 11 is installed in the terminal insertion hole 3. Moreover, as for the water-proof plug 11, a projection 17 is projected in the center of an end face of a main body 13. The insertion jig 21 has the tip part 23 to be fitted in the terminal insertion hole 3, a holding hole 25 to insert the projection 17 in is formed in the tip part 23, and the step part 27 to be brought into contact with the housing 29a in the case where a water-proof plug 11 is pushed to a prescribed depth of the terminal insertion hole 3 is formed in the side face of the tip part 23.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
