PURPOSE: To obtain an air conditioner which in small in size and excellent in solution heating characteristic and can prevent local overheating of the heat transfer surface. ;CONSTITUTION: A high-temperature regenerator of an absorption type water cooling and heating apparatus has a liquid chamber 112 which is formed between an exterior drum 101 and an interior drum 102 and whose inside serves as a combustion chamber. Two or more smoke tubes 103 having a flat cross section are laid parallel between the sidewalls of the interior and exterior drums 101 and 102 and welded together so that solution can circulate through gaps between the smoke tubes 103. Combustion gas is discharged from a smoke exhaust box 115 after flowing through the insides of the smoke tubes 103.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
