PURPOSE: To realize a highly accurate evaluation of fatigue life, e.g. determination of rupture due to crack at a solder joint, by detecting the shape value of hysteresis loop representative of the relationship between displacement and load. ;CONSTITUTION: A displacement imparting section 4 for clamping a conductive part 1 at the other end thereof 1b comprises a lever 4a and a body 4b for driving the lever 4a wherein the body 4b outputs the displacement at the conductive part 1 to a controlling/evaluating section 6. A load detecting section 5 comprises a holder 5a for clamping a board 2 and holding the board 2 at a predetermined position, and a body 5b comprising a load cell for detecting the load being applied to the holder 5a wherein the body 5b also outputs a detected load to the evaluating section 6. The evaluating section 6 controls the operation of the imparting section 4 and evaluates the fatigue life of a solder joint A from the relationship between the displacement at the conductive part 1 outputted from the imparting section 4 and the load outputted from the detecting section 5.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
