ELECTRONIC MUSICAL INSTRUMENT PROVIDED WITH FUNCTION ALLOCATING TIME POSITION OF WAVEFORM DATA TO NOTE CODE

PURPOSE: To contrive a read system of the waveform data in a waveform memory system and to perform new musical expression by successively allocating the positions of the waveform data on a time base prepared by sound recording, etc., to a note code. ;CONSTITUTION: The positions of the waveform data 101 on the time base are made to correspond to the positions (note codes) of keys of a key board 102 beforehand in order. That is, they are made to correspond in order such that t0 is made to correspond to C3 of the key board 102, t1 to C#3 of the board 102, t2 to D3 of the board 102, and so on. At this time, since the positions t0-t6 of the waveform data on the time base correspond one-to-one to addresses a0-a6 on a storage where the waveform data are stored continuously along the time base, thus, the addresses a0-a6 of the waveform data become to be made to correspond to the note codes C3, C#3, D3, etc., of respective keys of the key board in order. Then, at a performing time, the waveform data are reproduced from the position allocated by specifying the note code. Thus, new musical expression not conventional is performed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
