PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to manufacture a ring-shaped working electrode for implantable electrochemical oxygen sensor. SOLUTION: An epoxide based resin and a thin layer of a uniform mixture made of composed of an expox-based resin, a hardener and powdered vetreous carbon is set onto a ring or hollow cylinder of biocomparble, inert, electrically conductive materials, the resin is hardeded. Consequenty, measurement of oxygen using electrodes makes immediate and distinct response in relation to the change of the density of oxygen.
