PURPOSE: To decrease the pulsating torque at the starting operation of a salient- pole synchronous motor and to reduce the especially quadrature-axis impedance of a rotor. ;CONSTITUTION: A solid magnetic pole piece 2 is tightened to an magnetic pole drum 1 by a bolt, and each magnetic pole is constituted. In this rotor of the salient-pole type solid magnetic pole, a groove 4 is provided in the axial direction in the magnetic pole drum 1 or the magnetic pole piece 2 at the part, where the magnetic pole drum 1 and the magnetic pole piece 2 are in contact. A conducting member 5 comprising the conductive material higher than the magnetic pole piece 2 is embedded in the groove 4. Thus, the resistance in the quadrature circuit on the side of the rotor is reduced, and the impedance is reduced.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
