PURPOSE: To enable a vehicle or the like (including moving robot) to flexibly run by changing a grounding pressure or the like in accordance with a road surface condition on the leveled/unleveled ground of flat land, irregular land, soft land, etc., by applying a crawler of new mechanism to a running mechanism part (wheel, crawler, leg point, etc.) of the vehicle or the like (including moving robot) moved on the ground indoors/outdoors. ;CONSTITUTION: A device has a sprocket 1 of driving a crawler belt 7, two sets of rolling wheel parts 2 integrally forming two rolling wheels to be rotatable around the same shaft and triangularly disposed three-wheel mechanism 3 arranging three rolling wheels on a vertex of an equilateral triangle to be rotatable around the center of gravity, to arrange these members on the vertex of a quadrangle formed in a symmetrical shape relating to a certain center line without interfering with a mutual rotary motion, to wind the crawler belt 7 around these members, and a crawler has a spring mechanism 4 for absorbing looseness of the crawler belt 7 generated by changing a rotary angle of the mechanism 3 in two sets of the rolling wheel parts 2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
