SLAG REMOVING DEVICE OF HEARTH HARDWARE FOR VERTICAL TYPE HEATING FURNACE AND ITS OPERATION

PURPOSE: To prevent the falling down of a slab by the slag adhered and deposited on the hearth hardware of a vertical type heating furnace and the damage to furnace walls by blister of the slag. ;CONSTITUTION: The slag deposits adhered on the hearth hardware 2 disposed in the upper part of a lifting beam 3 is removed by measuring the current value at the time of rotting a hammer head 6 held at an expanding and contracting mechanism so as to cross the hearth hardware 2 by using a hammer driving device 7 and driving off the slag adhered and deposited on the front surface and side faces of the hearth hardware 2 by a hammer 62 for the front surface of the hammer head 6 and hammers 63 for side faces while deciding the slag removal and slag non-removal by the current value. Since the front surface of the hearth hardware 2 is flat, the fall of the slab is prevented.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
