FORMING OF CONTINUOUS ELEMENT SERIES FOR SLIDE FASTENER AND FORMING DEVICE THEREFOR

PURPOSE: To provide a forming method and a forming device for a continuous series of a synthetic resin slide fastener, by which engaging and separating are smoothly made, the engaging strength is secured, and the sliding resistance is reduced. ;CONSTITUTION: A plurality of thin engaging heads 8 expanded to the cross filament direction are intermittently formed by stamping at an engaging head forming position of synthetic resin monofilament MF continuously supplied. The engaging head 8 of the monofilament MF is bent and a series of fastener element rows E each with a turning part 9a connecting a leg part 9 and a base are formed. The formed fastener element row is transported from a transport part and the engaging head 8 is softened by passing a heating part during the transportation. A head forming jig 7 having an arc shaped recessed part 7a is abutted to the softened and backward bent engaging head 8 to form an are shape of the engaging head 8.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
