PURPOSE:To pile thin plate-shaped articles straightened on a load-carrying platform by removably mounting an article-straightening guide, having a frame-like plane form, to a strut in such a manner that a guide lower edge approaches the load-carrying platform when it is placed in the upper limit position. CONSTITUTION:An article-straightening guide 7 is mounted to a strut 3 so that the lower edge 7a of the guide 7 approaches the upper surface of a load-carrying platform 5 when the platform 5 is placed in the upper limit position as shown by a virtual line in the drawing, then vertical lift type auxiliary guides 13a, 13b and up-down swivel type auxiliary guides 14a, 14b are moved or swiveled downward by gravitational force and brought in contact with the upper surface of the load-carrying platform 5. When the load-carrying platform 5 is positioned under this condition relating to the release end of a conveyer 40 so as to receive, in the guide 7 a thin plate-shaped article W released from the conveyer, the released article W is dropped down in square frame-shaped space surrounded by rear side plate parts 8a, 8b, side plate main units 9a, 9b, auxiliary side plate parts 10a, 10b, front side plates 11a, 11b and a front side connecting plate 12, of the guide 7. The article W, is dropped down onto the load-carrying platform 5 in a condition that its attitude and position are corrected.
