PURPOSE:To enhance the anti-moistening property without causing drop of the heating efficiency by sealing the two ends of an insulating tube or covering with the insulating covering itself or with insulative resin. CONSTITUTION:A heater 14 is put alongside a fluorescent discharge tube 10 to heat it. When a certain voltage is impressed between parallel conductors 16, 17 from an external power supply via external leads 19, 20, a heat emitting body 15 performs heating as long as the ambient temp. is below a certain level to ensure that the discharge tube 10 lights up normally. The two ends of this heat emitting body 15 are sealed with insulative resin 23, 24, and there is no drop of the output of heater 14 and the self temp. controlling function because of moistening of the heat emitting body 15.
