DEVICE FOR MEASURING THREE-DIMENSIONAL SUBMERGING ATTITUDE OF LINEAR TOWED BODY

PURPOSE: To measure a towing attitude of a large-sized towed body in the water instantaneously, accurately and three-dimensionally and to grasp the dynamic movement thereof. ;CONSTITUTION: A device for measuring three-dimensional submerging attitude of a linear towed body in which a plurality of wave receivers are arranged is provided with a sound source 22 installed in the sea, a depth meter 23 for measuring the depth of the source 22 and a plurality of wave receivers 3 arranged on the linear towed body. The direct wave and reflecting wave of pulse sound generating from the source 22 are received by the respective receivers 3 on the linear towed body. Thus, horizontal distances between the source 22 and respective receivers 3 on the linear towed body and between adjacent receivers 3 thereon and the depths of respective receivers 3 are measured, thereby measuring the submerging attitude of the linear towed body three- dimensionally.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
