PURPOSE: To obtain the coating comprising the mixture of melted composite fluoride fluorescent powder having a specific composition and a specified average particle diameter, a transparent resin and a solvent, exhibiting a strong emission brightness, and useful for infrared light-sensitive films used for various commodities requiring transparency. ;CONSTITUTION: This coating comprises the mixture of (A) fluorescent powder comprising melted composite fluoride powder having a composition formula: (1-x-y)PbF2.xYbF3.yErF3 [the weight ratio of x:y is (0.1-0.2):(0.01-0.04)] and having an average particle diameter of ≤0.5μm, (B) a transparent resin (preferably an acrylic resin, an epoxy resin), and (C) a solvent. The components A, B and C are preferably mixed in a ratio of 100 pts.wt.:10-900 pts.wt.:100-5000 pts.wt. The infrared light-sensitive transparent film using the coating expresses a strong emission brightness of ≥30 foot-lambert by the irradiation of infrared light having a low density of, e.g. 10mW/cm2, even the thin film having a film thickness of 10-50μm is used.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
