METHOD FOR CULTIVATING POTATOES AND MULCH FILM

PURPOSE:To provide a method for cultivating potatoes by which seed potatoes can automatically be elongated from the mulch film onto the ground with saved operations in germinating the seed potatoes without breaking the mulch film covering the plowland and obtain the mulch film therefor. CONSTITUTION:The method for cultivating potatoes is to form a region of a position corresponding to the planting of each seed potato of potatoes into a light shielding region of a black sheet 2 having 20cm width, use the remainder as a transparent sheet 1, form a small circular transparent film 7 in the light shielding region and provide a slit 5 so as to readily break the transparent film 7 by germination of the potatoes, prepare a mulch film (M), cover a potato field after planting the seed potatoes with the mulch film (M), germinate the seed potatoes T, grow the seed potatoes toward the adjacent transparent film 7, make the shot out buds break through the transparent film 7 and grow the shot out buds on the ground. Furthermore, this mulch film is obtained.
