A mercury closure of amalgam decomposer, in the conic bottom (3) of which together with a chute for mercury (2), there is placed one or there are placed more channels, in the horizontal position, with a shape of concentric circles, or they are flat, connected to the central outlet for mercury (5) and the overflow vessel (6), to enable to set a constant height of a mercury level.
