The subject matter of this invention relates to a machine which is capable of satisfying the requirements of monitoring motor vehicle rims and which is also capable of performing the method which envisages the use of carbon dioxide CO2 as a tracer gas and is provided with all those members which position the rims, cause them to move, and read and record the resulting test data.
