ANTIBODIES FOR THE CONTROL OF CYST NEMATODES AND TRANSGENIC PLANTS EXPRESSING THEM

The invention concerns antibodies directed against an antigenic subventralsalivary protein of a cyst nematode, e.g. of the genera Heterodera, Globoderaand Punctodera, or at an immunogenic part or equivalent thereof, saidantigenic protein having an amino acid of 30-50 kDa and having an isoelectricpoint (pI) of about 6.8 to 8.7. Furthermore provided are expression systemscomprising at least a nucleotide sequence encoding an antibody or antibodyfragment against a cyst nematode salivary protein, and a sequence regulatingexpression of said nucleotide sequence, for transforming plants so as toprotect them against cyst nematodes.
