The invention pertains to a process for producing dihydroxyacetone phosphate (DHAP) by enzymatic oxidation of glycerine phosphate in the presence of a glycerine phosphate oxidase and of a H2O2-decomposing enzyme such as catalase, and to the reaction, in a coupled enzymatic aldol addition, of the DHAP formed in situ, to produce carbohydrates and like derivatives.
