The present invention provides, as a common feature, novel compounds of short hex linear or cyclic diorganosiloxane or triorganosilane type, having at least one alkoxybenzotriazole functional group, more particularly skin and skin against ultraviolet radiation. It relates to new compounds that can be used as organic sunscreens in cosmetic compositions for the protection of hair.
