FIELD: metal pressure forming. SUBSTANCE: a die is being mounted in a press, having a control system. The die includes punches, the mandrel die 1, in the cavity 5 of which a member for knocking out crops, being in the form of the hollow rod 6, is arranged. A cavity of the rod 6 is joined with a source of compressed air. A pickup for detecting presence of crops in the cavity of the die, being the form of the probe 12, is mounted on an end portion of the rod 6. The probe 12 may engage (upon absence of crops in the cavity of the die) with the checking electric sensor 13 and with the pickup 14, providing an operation of the press.
