FIELD: chemical and building engineering. SUBSTANCE: relationship of fed power-carrier and original material as far as mass is concerned is equal to 4-50 kg. Speed and pressure of power-carrier in input made up 100-330 m/s and 2.0-10 kilogauss/sq.cm2, correspondingly. In this case linear dimensions of original material incoming into chamber in transversal direction do not exceed 0.5 of height of the latter. Air, aerosol or suspension of matter in gas are used as power-carrier. Device for vortex grinding of fibrous materials has milling chamber with inserts made of material resistant to wear, reflectors and cutting members in the form of plates with sharpened edge disposed on its lateral wall in front of branch pipes for feeding the power-carrier. The reflectors and cutting members can be integrated into one assembly. Assembly for removing the suspension of matter in gas is made in the form of shell with bottom. The milling chamber is coaxially installed inside shell with space between bottom, is mounted on branch pipes for power-carrier feed and has in the lateral wall a gap for removing the suspension of matter in gas. The gap is made as part of cylinder with tangential input and output. The nozzle of branch pipe for feeding the power-carrier into milling chamber has rectangular cross-section through all chamber height. Ratio of sections of central hole and gap for removing the suspension of matter in gas makes up 2.5-50. Ratio of sum of sections of hole and gap for discharging the suspension of matter in gas to sum of sections of branch pipes for power-carrier feed makes up 2-40. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 2 dwg
