FIELD: mining industry; may be used in reversing air flow and reversing of working and standby fans in ventilation plants furnished with centrifugal double-suction fans. SUBSTANCE: fan jet reverser includes body communicated with ambient atmosphere, suction and discharge branch pipes for connection of working and standby fans to body holes whose centers are arranged over circumference, air distributor having diffuser in the form of box with guide vanes and communicated with mine ventilation channel, dead-end valve attached to diffuser, shaft supported in bearings. Reverser body has flexible cover plates attached over periphery of body holes and shutoff member of variable radius of curvature is secured to edges of inlet hole of air distributor. Outlet hole of air distributor is packed with the aid of cover plate. Pulley is installed for transmission of motion from air distributor drive to air distributor diffuser. Besides, reverser body has two side and rear walls and roofing which form chamber communicated with ambient atmosphere through opening and also through air heater connected to body (forced-draught fans) or intake silencer (drawing fans). Air jet of fans served by fan jet reverser is reversed by turning of air distributor together with its diffuser from one hole to the other one to which the given fan is connected. To switch over from working fan to standby one, air distributor diffuser is turned to one of holes of standby fan which is started by closing of one of holes by means of dead-end valve. Static balancing of air distributor diffuser during rotation of air distributor is ensured by dead-end valve due to its respective weighting. EFFECT: higher compactness of device, its strength and reliability, reduced metal content and extended field of application of fan jet reverser. 7 dwg
