SUBSTANCE: device measuring duration of single light pulses includes source of measured light pulse, optical delay line, registering unit 5 and additionally inserted threshold element 6 and pulse counter 7, all optically matched. Registering unit is fabricated in the form of photodetector and optical delay line in the form of bunch of light guides having different length with common entrance and exit apertures. Length of shortest light guide is chosen equal to L1, where v is velocity of light in light guide; t1 is unit chosen for measurement of duration of light pulse. Total number of light guides n= T/ t1, where n is total number of light guides. T is maximal duration of measured pulse. Length of each following light guide is shosen equal to , where i is ordinal number of light guide; Li is length of i-th light guide.
