The counter flow reverse osmotic unit works as a concn. changer. The refrigerant at the same time is a solvent for the sorption medium in the mixture so that its component parts are selected in relation to purpose of use. A semi-permeable diaphragm divides the concn. changer into two zones. If the refrigerant rich soln., after a pressure increase along the diaphragm, is led in to a zone, with essentially only the refrigerant under reverse osmosis, the soln. penetrates the diaphragm to the other zone. There it is received by the counter running low refrigerant soln. emanating from the absorber. Thus, the concn. slope is adjusted corresp. to the desired temp. difference.
