Woltmann hydrometric vane with rotating impeller wheel

The hydrometric vane has an impeller wheel (1) including a hub (3) with vanes (4) arranged on the hub. The impeller wheel is arranged between an upstream fixed hub (5) and a fixed downstream hub (6) such that it can move axially and can rotate. Opposing sides of the fixed downstream hub and the impeller wheel hub, and opposing sides of the upstream hub and the impeller wheel hub are respectively formed as parts of a current coupling. Parts (7,10) of the impeller wheel hub form the drive sides and the parts (9,11) of the fixed hubs form a counter wheel. Preferably, the opposing sides of the fixed hubs and the impeller wheel hub have chambers (9,7) or (11,10) separated by radial ribs (8). These are open to each other and are distributed uniformly around the circumference. The chambers preferably have circular sector cross-sections extending from the outer circumference of the hubs (3,5,6) to the impeller wheel shaft (2).
