The brush has a brush body (7) which can be connected to the drive shaft (5) of a motor (2) and a handle in the form of an elongated hollow body. The motor (2) is mounted within the hollow body (1) and protrudes beyond the end of the body with the end of the drive shaft which can be connected to the brush body. The dia. of an internal opening (18) in the brush body is greater than the external dia. of the hollow body to such an extent that the annular gap formed between them enables the hollow body to be gripped by the hand of the user.
