The gas warning and rescue device includes a casing which can be made of plastic, metal or another suitable material or from a combination of different materials. The casing can be provided with an armband and fastener (1,2). The front surface (12) of the casing can be provided with an advertising inscription.The electric gas warning device is provided with an electrical optical signal transmitter (4), a gas sensor (9) and with an acoustic alarm transmitter (5). The opening for the gas sensor is provided with a cover (6), which protects the sensor against sprayed water.
