The device according to the invention for the separation of the fibre web 2 of the doffer cylinder 1 in a card comprising a fly comb 3 downstream of the combing cylinder, is characterized by the fact that it is constituted by a toothed roller 5 cooperating with the doffer roller 1 so as to detach the web 2, the fly comb cooperating with said toothed roller at the start of the carding machine in order to separate the web, while, at high speed, the damper plate leaves directly the toothed roller 5 without cooperate with the beating comb.
