The tool has two branches (1,2) which are articulated (3) together and form handles (6,7). Their upper parts (8,10) have a gripping zone with small teeth (4) to prevent the tool slipping. One branch (1) is extended beyond the other branch by a cutting blade (5). The two branches come into contact by the periphery of a hollow (9,11) in each branch. The shell is held in the hollows and gripped by the teeth. The user squeezes the handles together to break the end of the shell.
