PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transduce an extraneous gene to a microorganism chromosome by homologous recombination between a nutrient synthetic gene domain derived from a microorganism deactivated by insertion of an extraneous gene in a vector and a nutrient synthetic gene domain on the chromosome of the microorganism. ;SOLUTION: In a method for transducing an extraneous gene to a chromosome of a food microorganism such as lactic acid bacterium, Bacillus subtilis, acetic acid bacterium, yeast, filamentous fungi, etc., a recombinant produced by the first homologous recombination between a nutrient synthetic gene domain derived from a microorganism deactivated by insertion of an extraneous gene existing in a vector and a nutrient synthetic gene domain on the chromosome of the microorganism is selected. A recombinant in which an extraneous gene remains on the chromosome among recombinants produced by the second homologous recombination between the nutrient synthetic gene domain incorporated into the chromosome and the nutrient synthetic gene domain originally existing on the chromosome is used as a nutrition demanding index to simply and accurately select a transformant transduced with the objective gene.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
