PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for stabilizing the expression of an extraneous gene transduced into plants. SOLUTION: By transducing the 5' upstream sequence of tobacco alcohol dehydrogenase together with the extraneous gene into plants, the expression of the transduced gene is stabilized.
