PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively perform the error measurement of a product device by estimating the error pattern of channel data from decoded user data even when the channel data in a read channel cannot be taken out. ;SOLUTION: This device is provided with an inverse decoder 13 having the function recording coded data CD encoded by a prescribed encoding processing on a disk 1 and estimating the error pattern CDa of the channel data before the channel data are decoded to read data based on the read data (user data) RD obtained from the coded data read out from the disk 1 by a reproducing processing.
