SOLUTION: When the spelling of word is inputted from a display screen 1, the relevant word or the like is taken out of a dictionary data part 31 registered in the order of alphabets in an electronic dictionary 3 with word directory function by a dictionary function part 33 and that word, etc., is dispatched to a display part 35 and displayed on the display screen 1. The word, etc., is registered in a word directory data part 39 by word register processing 41 at the word directory function part 37. When extracting the word, on the other hand, the word, etc., is extracted from that word directory data part 39 by word calling processing 42, dispatched to the display part 35 and displayed on the display screen 1. An external word directory data part 54 composed of plural word directories is provided and any desired word directory is selected out of this data part 54 by an external word directory data mount function part 55 and mounted on the word directory data part 39.
