PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a silver halide photosensitive material for transmission type hologram excellent in resolving power, having high efficiency of diffraction, excellent in image preservability and hardly causing image stain due to a residual color, etc. ;SOLUTION: This photosensitive material has hydrophilic layers on both sides of the transparent org. polymer substrate and has a photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer contg. silver halide particles of ≤0.05μm average particle diameter on only one side of the substrate. When this material is exposed, developed, bleached, stabilized, washed and dried, the unexposed part has ≥50% light transmissivity at 488nm and an absorbance of ≥0.3 at 365nm.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
