PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism for supporting a levee-forming part in a levee coater which can increase the compression force to the soil and form new rigid levees with increased working efficiency by providing a mechanism for supporting the levee-forming part with a spring for pressing the levee- forming part toward the levee. ;SOLUTION: A levee-forming part 80 is connected to a running machine body and runs along the levees in a paddy field to press the soil to form new levees. The levee-forming part 80 is liftably supported through a mechanism A for supporting the levee-forming part 80 and, in addition, a pressurizing spring 60 is set to the supporting mechanism A so that the levee-forming part 80 is pressed toward the levee. Preferably, a locking mechanism 50 for inhibiting the vertical movement of the levee-forming part 80 and a mechanism 40 for releasing the spring load for linking the pressurizing spring 60 to the locking mechanism 50 are provided.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
