METHOD FOR GRINDING ROLL OF FOUR-ROLL MILL, FOUR-ROLL MILL AND ROLL CUTTING EQUIPMENT USED IN THE SAME METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and sure method by which a roll is rotated for grinding even when the roll is a nondriven roll without a driving shaft. ;SOLUTION: When the driving rolls 1, 1 of a four-roll mill are cut, by connecting the roll driving shafts of a roll driving device to the driving shafts 5 of the driven rolls, the driven rolls 1, 1 are rotated and the surfaces of the rolls are cut with cutting machine. When the nondriven rolls 2, 2 are cut, driving gears of the roll driving devices are engaged with driven gears 16 on the side faces of the nondriven rolls 2, 2, the non-driven rolls 2, 2 are rotated by revolving the driving gears and the roll surfaces are cut with the cutting machine.
