METHOD FOR SETTING ROLL OF FOUR-ROLL ROLLING MILL AND DEVICE THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roll setting method for a four-roll rolling mill by which centering is accurately and easily set by attaching setting jigs highly accurately machinable to rolls and mutually abutting the jigs. ;SOLUTION: In setting the relative position of each roll of the four-roll rolling mill for rolling wires or bars by screwing down four orthogonal rolls R₁-R₄, the ring-shaped setting jigs A, B are preliminarily attached coaxially with roll axes to each roll R₁-R₄ and, by screwing down each roll R₁-R₄ in that state, the setting jigs A, B of the adjacent rolls are abutted. Because the setting jig A, B are highly accurately machined, the relative position of each roll is accurately set.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
